I was not able to plan anything too wild, big, or special for him, but still he is now big enough to be fine without a huge birthday party. We did buy a nice cake, ate his favorite dinner, clam pasta, and enjoyed finding a rare pokemon cards, gifts from us and from grandparents.
And,,, I am just so happy that he is here, today, smiling, and happy. He is out of treatment for 10 months now, and doing well. Please, no more chemo. I just want him to grow up to be a happy man, who loves his life, and loves what he does (for spare time and for jobs too.)
Triplets are now,,, 19 months old! And I cannot be more tired these days.
Both Aya and Koto are major climbers. They climb up to the middle section of the TV entertainment center. Koto mastered opening up baby latches and gates (why are they being called "childproofing devices" when a year and a half old girl can figure out how to use them all?) Aya just showed me yesterday that she can turn door nobs, and also climbs onto the dining table by holding her body on the edge of the chair and the table. The dining benches have been tucked in close to the table, thinking that if the chairs are positioned that way, babies will not able to climb onto the table. Wrong.
I am starting to feel defeated. Now they REALLY need constant monitoring. My laundry literally piles up, and so do dishes. But hey,,, who cares??? The safety of the kids comes first, so I am just living with this totally disorganized house. And the nice thing is that,,,, kids don't care much about how neat the house is. Our babies and boys are happy still. That is the good news,,, right?
Kai, turned 10 today!

Tomo, now 6 years old.

One of my favorite photos. I got a small table/bench combination for them. For some reasons, they like sitting on one side together. I bolted this table to the wall, using thick chains so they won't move it toward the TV entertainment center to climb onto it.
