Now,,, two and 7 months old!

I cannot believe how long I have not yet updated this site. That tells me how busy I have been.

I will try to describe kids in short sentences.

Kai: Doing great! He enjoys being a 5th grader. In two months, he will be two years off chemotherapy treatment. My heart aches and tingles whenever I count how long he has been leukemia-free. I wish it continues so forever.

Tomo: He is in the first grade now. He is quite a smart kid, especially in Math. He matured socially too, and finally,,, he is enjoying the school! He still likes lots of computer games, but he had started enjoying reading too.

And,,, triplets,,, gosh,,,.

They have grown so much since the last time I updated the blog. They talk a lot now, both in Japanese and in English. While their speaking is not that yet complete or smooth, they certainly communicate well with everybody now. They love to sing and dance, and,,, still,,, Aya and Koto love climbing. Especially, Aya is a busy girl. She loves to explore, is fearless, capable of climbing anywhere, and opening any locks and latches. With her strong will,,, that sometimes creates a problem with safety. I don't know how many times I was notified by Aya with a door bell at our front door that she unlocked our entrance door and got outside. At least she rings a bell,,, so that is good but it is extremely scary and honestly speaking,,, stressful to keep her (and as a consequence, Koto and Naoto) safe.

I am still somewhat forcing them to take a nap, by reading the three billy goats story, and telling them that I am so scared of troll that I have to pretend that I am napping, and they have to help me do so by copying me. Then they all fall asleep,,,. Once the three billy goats story no longer works, I will use three piggies and a scary wolf, and after that, the wolf and the seven little goats from the grimm tale.

Photo: Aya, putting lots of post-it on her mouth. She loves being silly too.

Photo: Koto, hiding in between bookshelves. She is the most independent, emotionally stable person. She loves playing with play-dough, puzzles, trains, etc.

Photo: Naoto, loving vacuuming. He is very animated, and his every action brings smile to our face. He loves to clean the house, and he loves to make sure that all the childproof latches are closed.

Here is the most recent video clip of the kids, playing cho-cho train. Aya g
smashed into the wall but she never cried and continued playing.
